Swords Grinds Academy launches in Swords – 20.10.2017
Swords Grinds Academy opened its doors this week to secondary school students in Swords and the surrounding area. Explaining why the company located in Swords, chief executive officer Irene Gahan stated that, “many of our students were coming to us in our Drogheda and Navan locations from Swords and from as far south as Drumcondra and Santry. It made sense to bring our experienced team of teachers and staff to Swords.
Our grinds are very exam focused with small class sizes delivered by experienced teachers. Our teachers are text book authors, examinations advisors, experienced with exam corrections and department heads within schools. For us it’s essential that our teachers bring experience and passion to teaching their subject. This shines through for students that either need extra help or want to achieve higher grades.
Our grinds academy in Swords is perfectly situation on Main Street in Swords with two professional training rooms and a schedule of junior and leaving certificate classes. We have over 60 different classes a weekly in Drogheda and we hope to bring a full schedule to Swords by January 2018. Currently we have junior and leaving certificate English, Irish, Maths, Geography, History, Chemistry and Science. We have hired and trained local staff to work in our administration team looking after students and teachers”.
Swords Grinds Academy is already following its sister academy in Drogheda getting involved in the local community through sports sponsorship and providing ‘reduced rate study skills and exam motivation seminars to secondary school students. “We work closely with schools in Drogheda and it provides students with extra help that need it around exam times. We also work with students that may have missed school due to illness to help them catch up”.
Swords Grinds Academy mission is to provide experienced teachers, excellent notes and small class sizes.
