Our ‘Get Ahead’ program allows for Transition Year students to start Leaving Certificate subjects during Transition Year. This is particularly popular for subjects such as Maths, Irish, French and Spanish where the extra year helps with prepare for Leaving Certificate exams. It also provides students a focused understanding of what is required at Leaving Certificate level and how best to study the subject from early on.
Transition year students join in 5th year classes and the teacher will advise them which textbooks to study from throughout the year. This is popular if students wish to take an additional subject / language outside of school or take three years to study a subject such as Maths HL.
