Need somewhere quiet to study and prepare for your exams. We are opening our classrooms to Leaving Certificate students for the following weeks from 9.30am – 3.30pm daily. Places are limited to 8 students per class (2 classes) so students have their own desks and space. Students will have access to resources such as Revise Wise revision books, StudyClix exam and marking scheme builder, cliff notes and reference books as well as past exam papers and other text books. Students will also have access to the photocopier (20 pages per day black & white) and on hand assistance and support from DGA administration staff & tutor.
Weeks as follows:
Week 1: Monday – Friday May 15th – 19th
Week 2: Monday – Friday May 22nd – 26th
Week 3: Monday – Friday May 29th – 2nd
Week 4: Tuesday – Saturday June 6th – 10th
Week 5: Monday – Friday June 12th – 16th
Cost per week per student from 9.30am – 3.30pm is €45 (That’s 30 hours of supervised study)
Due to limited places it is a first come first serve and students must book in for their weeks in advance. There are only 16 places maximum each day to ensure quiet study environment. There are of course a few student rules so students should note these before they book as they will need to sign a form agreeing to conditions.
Conditions of study below:
The objective of this is to offer students a place for quiet study before and during their exams so all students must be quiet at all times and mobile phones on silent.
Students can arrive on the half past the hour to join study rooms so 9.30, 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30 which is when students can opt for 5 minute breaks. Water, coffee & tea will be available to students but hot drinks or food, are not allowed in study rooms. Students that need additional resources can ask before the day starts or at half past the hour.
Like baseball three strikes and you are out as it’s not fair on other students who are there to study. You will be asked to leave and fees will not be refunded. There will be a half hour lunch break from 12.30pm – 1pm where students can talk and come and go for lunch but it must be adhered to. (Please note fees are not refundable, day fees of €10 are dependent on availability)
