We are hiring fabulous JC English, French and Maths teachers for up to 4 – 5 hours per week (Evenings & Weekends). Teachers must be dedicated to helping students achieve their potential. Classes for 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd years with some at both higher and ordinary levels. Teachers with experience teaching or tutoring students with specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia or general learning difficulties is an advantage. JC English

The ideal teacher for English will have completed the required courses for the new Junior Certificate English. Having corrected the JC English exam would be an advantage. Teachers with additional interests in literacy for children as well as essay writing would be important. All JC English teachers will be required to complete the CPD ICEPE course in Dyslexia  during the school year. We will cover the cost of your course on completion. You may have a 1st year class, 2nd year class and 3rd year class with some classes being specifically for students with Dyslexia so a knowledge of DARE accommodations would be an advantage.

JC Maths

The ideal teacher for Maths would be happy working with students in either 2nd year at OL and Higher level or 3rd year at Higher or Ordinary level. We don’t mix levels. They would also need to be prepared to take a Leaving Certificate Foundation level maths class. A knowledge of how specific learning difficulties impacts on the comprehension and understanding of Maths is important. All JC Maths teachers will be required to complete the CPD ICEPE course in Dyslexia  during the school year. We will cover the cost of your course on completion.

JC French

We are looking for a French teacher to teach 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year French. They must have excellent French oral communication skills and a love of the language. Exam corrections experience is an advantage or a good working knowledge of the marking scheme is essential. All our language teachers are passionate about the languages they teach so this is essential. You may be required to teach both higher and ordinary levels depending on numbers.

We have students that a C is their A and some that achieve extremely high grades with a number of A1’s last year in languages and science related subjects. Regardless of what level the student is at, all teachers are required the help them achieve their potential and to build their confidence in their chosen subjects and advance their exam preparations. Each class is 1hr 15 minutes and generally there are 2 – 3 classes per evening (one evening a week or weekend depending on subject) Remuneration is generous and travel expenses are offered.
